President's Letter

As President of the Southeast Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchisee Association, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our website. 

Our association was founded in 1965 which makes us the oldest KFC regional association.  Browse through the History Site and you will find that over 150 franchisees operating more than 1000 restaurants also make us the largest. 

I am very proud of the talent and leadership within this Association.  As a result of all their hard work and efforts put forth, our franchisee system has been made strong.  The Colonel has given us a unique foundation on which to build.  We must all stand together and be involved in our Association.  The SEKFCFA is very fortunate to have so many great members that have built and made the KFC system prosperous and successful. 

This year has been very challenging as the economy and political landscape has vastly changed.  A new era has just begun in the grilled chicken arena.  Kentucky Grilled Chicken is making a new debut, changing the way we sell and “unthink” chicken.  However, we must continue to be vigilant of our competition as we continue to face the many challenges of rising food and energy costs, value perceptions, operations and facility issues. 

I want to thank those who have gone before me to serve this Association.  It is my honor and pleasure to serve you during the 2009/10 term.
